John Dermer Kirby's Flat Pottery

John Dermer has been producing fine pots since 1967 and to his credit many works in private and public collections both in Australia and overseas.

Amounst those of note are works in the new Parliament House (Cabinet Entry) Canberra, (Federal) High Court Building, Australia National Gallery, State and regional galleries and museums as well as important private collections. John has held one person exhibitions both in Australia and Japan since 1971 and appears in many publications on ceramics and art in Australia.

Kirbys Flat Pottery commenced in 1974 and is the oldest established pottery in the region. A great deal of care and consideration is given to the design and function of tableware which is produced from porcelain, giving the work long life and quality. Exhibition work for sale includes Terra Sigillata, Salt Glaze and Porcelain. 

The Gallery will be open from 10.15am - 5.30pm each weekend and most V ictorian school holidays. Outside these times visitors are welcome by phoning 02 60271216 for an appointment. The annual exhibition is the last weekend of November.

Note: The gallery is sometimes closed during July, August or September. Please phone before coming during these months.
